STAKEHOLDERS AND ENVIRONMENT
Stakeholders and environment
Kalbar acknowledges its responsibility to the environment and is committed to implementing practices that promote environmental sustainability.
We will undertake all necessary environmental assessments for our operations and use the best available evidence to identify how we can prevent, minimise, mitigate or remediate any harmful effects of our operations on the environment.
We will aim to conserve water resources, energy and waste and promote environmental awareness throughout all operations.
Kalbar Resources believes that being part of the East Gippsland community is an important part of doing business. We seek to engage with the community and contribute to social wellbeing, as well as bringing economic and infrastructure benefits to the region.
Kalbar provides support to the local community through sponsorship of local events, activities, community and sporting groups.
We have a local employment and procurement policy to ensure that we can provide business and employment opportunities that contribute to community prosperity and well-being.
We will continue to seek opportunities to support the community in the future.
We aim to engage openly and honestly with all stakeholders, providing timely and comprehensive information and actively encouraging stakeholders to ask questions and provide feedback.
Kalbar seeks to foster positive working relationships with government departments, local Councils and community stakeholders.
Kalbar is committed to delivering effective stakeholder engagement to ensure that all parties are informed, and their concerns are acknowledged and addressed.
We actively seek a social licence to operate by acknowledging and respecting stakeholder views, supporting the local community and building trust in Kalbar through our actions.
