Kalbar is gearing up its local operations to undertake detailed investigations and reports into its proposed mineral sands project at the Fingerboards near Bairnsdale.
East Gippsland’s Chris Cook has been appointed by Kalbar to co-ordinate mine planning and development and establish the company’s office in Bairnsdale.
Neil O’laughlin, Kalbar’s Managing Director welcomes Chris to the team: “Chris has held engineering and management positions across Australia and in East Gippsland across a range of infrastructure projects. His experience as a civil engineer and business manager and his knowledge of the region will be important to the project.”
Chris has lived and worked in East Gippsland for the last 10 years and is an active member of the community. He is on the board of Gippsland Ports, Junior President of Paynesville Football Netball Club and GSI Delegate for East Gippsland Water Dragons among other roles.
